Yes, hopefully the scimitar will kill you and that will be the end of the pain. Broken hearts won't kill you, never completely heal and the pain will always be there to some extent.

No difference, initially, it is painful either way. But, (not to be a big ole cornball sap) broken hearts do heal up better and often you find something better the second time around.

I think they feel about the same, just less blood with the broken heart.
