Which Republican cause are you talking about? And how would a cause like "reforming social security" or "supporting and defending the Constitution" gain the self-awareness to understand if it sucks or not?
I have been told myriad times how liberals are so darned smart; perhaps you can illuminate my obvious ignorance regarding your "thinking".

Whaaaaa? Really? Republicans? Hmm, let's review, shall we? After the 2000 elections, who was it that was crying about "stolen" elections? That's right - Democrats. 2004 elections - who was whining about rigged elections? That's right - Democrats again. Leading up to the 2006 elections, which side was whining and bleating about the "evil" Diebold machines? That's right - Democrats. And *how* much whining did you hear from the right after the 06 elections? NONE. And how funny that those "evil" Diebold machines and our election process was suddenly, magically, mysteriously, repaired and above reproach.

I guess it does suck be a republican because we have to give our money to those lazy jerks that feel they DESERVE our money that they NEVER earned.
