There is no study saying it's bad for you. It pushes out extra air in your joints, and that's why you hear the popping sound. You may get sore and arthitic. A good idea to stop is when you feel like you have to crack your fingers, do something else, you enjoy doing. Take your mind off it. Sometimes your fingers will just crack on their own.
