I have an extremely busy lifestyle. It is my garden that keeps me sane and get thru rough periods in life. Gardening is a great stress reliever. There are plants like daylillies, marigolds, iris, perennial geraniums, Shasta daisy, hibiscus, dusty miller that are no-nonsense, low maintenance plants that don't require much work. Watering and fertilizing is important.

I totally love gardening and I've read a lot of gardening books and now I currently reading a gardening book that will totally changed my gardening style forever. Believe me or not but you can check it out yourself too, because it may change yours too forever. Even with our busy lifestyle, it'll work.
The book is called the "All New Square Foot Gardening" by Mel Bartholomew. Check his website, www.squarefootgardening.com. I went and check myself and it's amazing how people did their gardens.
Have fun gardening!!!! Believe me you will now.

I love it. I always said I would not because I hated going with my mom to buy plants when I was little. My mom who is 64, still working full time, is still an avid gardener. Last year I froze green beans and made home made spaghetti sauce.
