I never expected this type of response from all of you. It is going to be difficult to choose, I may have to put it to a vote. I have seen some very good answers here and i don't want to leave anyone out. I am leaving it open for a couple more days. Not so that I can get more responses, but so I can see if I can resolve this myself. You have all been very good about your answers, thank you for being so polite!

I just hate labels. I think everyone contributes here in the same way. I feel like my silly flag is like holding a VEGETARIAN sign over my head. It makes me stand out more than I want to. And, on giving it some thought, I realize that I WOULD (silly as it seems) be a bit miffed if I didnt have one, as I see so many of the people on here every day that SHOULD have a flag, and don't.

Yes we are.
Since I have over 14,000 points in a wide range of categories it is going to be almost impossible for me to earn an orange pennant. I guess I will just have to continue to make my answers as complete as possible and ignore those silly pennants.
I was actually wanting to earn one, until I answered this question. So thank-you.

Yes, definitely. I've gotten more hateful responses today than the entire 8 months I've been on Y!A. Sour grapes I reckon. Seems pretty silly to me.

I actually don't want one. The thing I really dislike about this new feature is that they shortened everyone's screenname display to account for the flag. i.e. Judas Rabbi is now Judas Ra, etc. That bugs me.

i liken it to a big orange target on my back.
however, the real hate-mongers are mysteriously absent or at least fewer in numbers. the new abuse report system may have something to do with this, but i have no way of knowing.

Not sure if I want one, but if they decide to give us one, make mine green also.....that orange just hurts the eyes....lol
Frankly, it makes no difference to me. In fact I will probbly stand out more if I don't have one. People will wonder what is wrong with me....lol

Not necessarily. I couldn't care less. I stopped caring about what other people thought of me in about 8th grade. What you see is what you get. I'm not going to lie to get your approval.
