Uh, yeah they are. The whole idea is that boys aren't supposed to be pretty. Nothing wrong with taking pride in your appearance, but they may be telling you that your leaning toward the iffeminate (girly) in your dress or hairstyle or whatever. Don't necessarily recommend this for you, but the one guy that called me a pretty boy earned himself an @$$-whuppin' -- after which I told him how I much I wished I could be around when all his redneck buddies found out he got the $h!t kicked out of him by a pretty boy...

Well they could mean it in a nice way I reckon..
But to me when someone is called a pretty boy, that means people are politely calling them * g@y * or * h0m0sexu@l * if you wish..
My mom used to call my best friend's boyfriend a pretty boy, and he actually turned out to be g@y, kinda funny, but sad for my friend.. He was pretty cool though..
And there is nothing wrong with wanting to look good, but when your time is completely consumed by you trying to make yourself look good, then you need to cut back some.. Don't try so hard..
Sorry with the computer I'm on I can't put offensive words so I use the @ sign a lot.. lol..

"Pretty boy" is generally an insult. It means that people think you are vain. It's a sign of jealousy as well. Those calling you such names don't take the time to have fun with fashion and grooming. As long as you don't consider yourself superior for being well dressed or trendy, you can safely ignore them.

Calling you pretty instead of handsome or DDG is pretty much calling you a fem or Metro. If these terms are hurtful to you then yes they are laughing at you

Calling someone a pretty boy, is a compliment, unless they are suggesting that's all that you are, in that case, work on your talents, and intelligence, then you will be noticed for more than one, good attribute. Smiles.
