Of course I feel this, I made a career out of animals, I have a zoo in my house and share my life with 7 dogs, 4 cats, 2 guinea pigs, 3 horses, 1 goat, 1 rabbit, 1 snake, 2 bearded dragons, 2 foster raccoons, and a menagerie of other multitude of animals
I guess being soft hearted and a good owner to lots of animals isnt what people like around here... I didnt say anything diffrent that anyone else and i get the thumbs down along with the guy who thought this was a sexual comment... oy vay!

There's nothing like a little dog in your life to brighten your days up. I love my dogs to bits and I've made so many wonderful friends through dog walking. I love "mothering" them, and taking the responsibility for their care. When I moved house a few years ago I was worried about leaving my friends behind, but having my dogs has ensured I've met other likeminded people. Enjoy your new found friend - I'm glad he enriched your life.

I know all the pets I have had in my life have contributed lots of love to my life and I have truly enjoyed caring for them and I feel they have loved my attention and care and love. I've always encouraged my children to have pets so that would know the love of taking care of something that gives love so freely. Good luck to you and God Bless.
P.S. You could share your love and dog with elderly/sick by visiting local nursing homes or hospitals (get okay before going from the appropriate staff). Lots of sick/elderly enjoy such visits. And this will also help your depression (it always makes us appreciate what we have when we see others who have less or a more difficult life).

My dog enriched my life in many ways. He's been gone a year and a day and I still feel the empty space he left behind.

Pet As Therapy - it is a known fact that pets have a place in most peoples hearts, dog give you unconditional love and attention, Max is lucky to have found you too, My westie Millie loves her walks but she loves me more, You could try arranging special charity walks to raise money for guide dogs and stuff. (sponsored pet walks) invite your friends along that way you're benefiting others by you new found friendship

i'm with aaron, that title lets the imagination run! but of course, if you're trying to capture the attention.....well you did it LOL!
I love my pets, I have a menagerie of animals, 2 dogs, 2 cats, a rabbit, a cockatiel and some fish. and all are very spoiled. they do add a little more than I can handle sometimes though. it's hard to take care of family and friends when part of your family are animals!

You're right, most people including myself believe that animals are their friends or family and have enriched their lives. Without mine I would be lost. I see one of mine and a smile automatically arrives across my lips. How can you stay angry or sad when a bouncing puppy or kitty is in your life?

Ever since childhood I've always had a pet in my life and I cannot imagine what it would be like without one. To me a house is not a home if you don't have a furry friend to share it with.

I’m pretty sure everyone feels that way.
What would be the purpose in having pets if they didn’t better our lives in some way? No one gets pets “just because,” but usually because they feel they will somehow be happier or better off with a pet.

Yes, my animals have kept me going through some very difficult times. I also suffer from depression.
