at the joint of the roof and house wall there should be lead flashing running the full length of the roof overlapping and being bedded into the wall either pointed with mortar or 'leadmate' a grey coloured silicone based sealant definately avail from builders merchants if this has failed it will need replacing with new. is the lead work flat to the roof? if not it will need flattening. could try do it yourself and if it doesnt work get a builder/roofer. good luck

Hi UK builder here, lead is not the only fixing today, you could have a preformed upstand with cover that is fixed to the brickwork, if this is the case silicone around the top edge forcing it in.
If you have lead do as others state and check that it is fixed into the brick work, if the mortar has failed, its is best to remove the existing and use silicone instead. Mortar does not last as the lead expands and contracts and the mortar doesn't and as such cracks. Even if the lead is flat on the roof and the lead is in the wall the rain could be blowing under the lead and so leaking. Lift the lead and see if an upstand exists, this is a lip that rests on the wall that the lead covers, some cheaper roofs don't have one. If this is the case, run silicone along the edge to the wall sealing the holes. Redress the lead back down, you could put a line of silicone under.
If your conservatory is over 15yrs old it may have flash band, this is a kind of sticky lead if this is the case and it has started to come away you could stick it back with a liquid felt ( wickes or B&Q, home depot ) or replace it altougether.

it sounds to me that the lead flashing has not been set properly if this is the case then you need to check the warranty of your conservatory . . . if its out of warranty then get up there (sometimes they use a kind of sealing tape instead of lead) and check the seal you need to be looking at the top of the lead where it meets the brickwork because bad pointing there would cause a leak and if it coincides with the wind and the roof is pitched then don`t assume its in the same place outside as it is inside ie: the leak may be higher up on the roof but may be running down the inside before appearing where you can see it if the welt (the little rolled end lead that is pushed in the wall where the lead meets the brickwork ) is visible then it needs resealing with mortar but if the lead is like a zig zag down each brick.........
and there is no lead showing on the top of each line i would seal all the down lines with high modular (fish tank) silicone mastic because you must be in a place where the wind is channelled across the front of the flashing . . . . . . . i know this might seem a bit too in depth but its an easy solution if your out of warranty and if you get a plumber in then brace yourself because they want big money..................good luck with this and i hope you get sorted

You'll need something to extract the water. Borrow a wet/dry vac or rent a carpet cleaning machine. And do it soon, before any mildew can start growing. The water will not be able to evaporate on it's own before it does permanent damage. After extracting the water, point several fans at the carpet and leave them on high until the carpet is dry. And please do not use a blow dryer. With that amount of water, you'll only dry the surface of the carpet leaving the foam beneath wet and rotting.

You need to get up there and check the joints. If it's leaking it needs re-sealing with whatever was used before.
