I was pretty good at about 6 weeks after each of my c-sections. If they're painful, red, inflamed, you should probably go see the doc to make sure they haven't become infected.

I have had 2 c-sections:
1) The first I was stitched and I felt a lot better around 12 weeks.
2) The second time I was stapled and I had pain until 7 months and still have occasional pain.

It definitely takes longer than 4 weeks to feel completely healed but please be sure that you are not overdoing it and watch for signs of infection: Redness or puss around the incision. If you see that, get into your OBGYN right away to have them check it.

Hope you feel better soon!

It took me about 6 weeks to not be sore anymore. Also if you are doing too much around the house, your incision could hurt more. Look out for redness and pain around your incision, those could be signs of an infection.

My incision itself healed up really fast. I had staples, though. But it's been about 4 months now, and my incision has just stopped twinging with pain altogether. It takes a while for the nerves to grow back. Expect it to take a while and that numb feeling may never be fully gone!

Remember you had major abdominal surgery!

I think it depends on the woman and the incision. I've known people to heal in about 6 weeks where as my sister's baby is 9 months old and she still hasn't healed. You should probably have your Dr look at it just to be sure there is no infection.

My incision was sore for quite a while. After it wasn't sore, it became itchy. As long as it isn't swollen or red and irritated, you should be okay. Everyone heals differently. I would suggest using Vitamin E oil on the incision to minimize scarring and speed healing.

I had a c-section around 2 and a half months ago and sometimes my incision still hurts. My sis-in-law had one 4 months ago and she said hers doesnt hurt but is starting to itch. The doctor said it was normal.
