Can't think of a single one. South Afreaka use to be a thriving bread basket until the white farmers were chased out.

I believe it is Haiti because it was the first black nation to lead a successful revolt and gained its own independence in 1804. However a series of unfortunate events like the French leaving with all the riches and no goverment and also the U.S. government intervention in its formation as a nation has placed Haiti at certain downfalls. Because I remember the U.S. government ousted one of Haiti's best president and left it the way it is right now.

To the posters who claim whites destroyed Africa -- GIMMIE A BREAK!
The early Europeans suffered constant warfare, dangerous cold weather, floods, plagues, disease, sabotage, lack of information and knowledge, starvation, etc., etc. and yet they still built Europe into the power it is today.
The early American settlers suffered constant indian attacks, plagues, starvation, horrid weather, sabotage, warfare, etc., etc., and look at the military and economic colossus they built the US into. Whites were like 95% of the US population back during WW I & WW II and look at what they achieved.
I'm sure some African countries are indeed starting to prosper and do well, and I'm happy for that. I wish that the people of Africa would live in luxury. That would great. But as it stands, it seems to me that most just want to take the easy way out instead of trying to make their countries a better place.
