Beginning of April or thereabouts.

Early spring is late March or early April, and remember, we can always count on getting that one big snowstorm or cold snap in the last two weeks of March, so you're probably better off aiming for early April.

To be safe, you may consider starting your seeds indoors and waiting until late April or even Mother's Day to put the seedlings outside. (I live in Michigan and a few times my early plantings froze because of weather changes).

Lol... the buckeye in me wants to say "how 'bout the two weeks of the year you have no snow," but that would just be rude. ;)

Seriously, early spring usually means mid-to late march, on through early April. (i.e. after the freeze, before the rains.)
