Ok, this isnt a ques, really an explanation. In the last scene of Parasite, Sklar captures Peter and begins to saw his brain.
But he WONT DIE.
The first tagline for the show was " SAve the cheerleader, Save the world"
Get it? Is Sklar killed Claire, than he would have the power of rapid tissue regeneration. That is the only thing that separates Sklar and Peter is that ability, which Peter has. But this does not mean that its all over. As Hiro from the future said, "Hum, you look different without your scar..." ... Comment

Considering that Peter has never actually been around Hiro, he does not have Hiro's powers..Peter wont stop time, but I bet he will use a combo of Claire's, and Claude's powers to evade the rest of the brain drainage, and I even think he will fly Suresh out of there...

1. Dude's name is Sylar
2. Peter and Sylar don't quite have the same powers. Peter absorbs powers naturally via contact. Sylar steals powers by eating (?) brains. Peter has access to all of the powers that Sylar has stolen, in addition to the powers of everyone who is still alive that Peter has been in contact with.
3. Peter will probably use a combination of Sylar's stolen telekinesis and Claire's regeneration to get away from Sylar, possibly combined with Claude's invisibility.
4. The scar that Hiro was referring to may be from Sylar's attempt at brain theft, or maybe something that has yet to happen. Doesn't matter as long as Peter loses the emo-bangs.

What separate Peter from Sylar is Peter does not have to kill a person to sample his/her power. He only has to experience that power, in other words, Sylar's finger. You also forgot Peter can freeze time like Hiro and disappear like Claude and Sylar has super hearing and the ability to solids in to liquid. So their differences abound.

I never thought he would die, but I'd forgotten about Hiro's comment. Thanks for the reminder.
However, I don't necessarily agree that tissue regeneration is the only thing separating the two - we only know the people Sylar killed since Mohinder's dad died - what about all the ones that were dead already when Mohinder took over his father's work? We may not have been shown them all yet.

I don' think he will be killed, but this could be where he gets his scar? I think that Peter will use anything he has to stop Slylar from taking the powers he has because this would make him invincible. I think this will be a big point in finding out who is set to destroy New York.

The producers kind of gave it away when they told about them wanting Milo to cut his hair so they didn't have to worry about continuity, and he told them the only way he would do it was if the gave him an awesome scar. I read that in article somewhere online, now I wish I could remember where.

I think it could also be looked at this way. Because Peter saved Claire, he got her power. Because he has her power, he will now be able to heal himself. Because he can heal himself, Sylar won't get his power.
