wouldn't necessarily void your warranty... but a word to the wise would be not to do it. many people who have attempted what you are have complained that many system devices are not visible or responding within vista. That is because many computer manufacturers had to update the parts they used and subsequently included many parts that have no windows xp drivers. (because they were created for vista) You could render certain parts of your laptop unuseable such as media card reader, pcmcia (or express card slot), usb ports, bluetooth, built-in webcam, any media buttons and just about any other "specialty" hardware that is built into your laptop.

Not Usually.But... to be sure, check the terms of your warranty.
The only way a warranty can voided in most cases is by making changes to the system. When in doubt, call your PC supplier, and if needed ask for an email or a letter to confirm the details of what you were told. My understanding is that you can change the entire System over, and your Warranty would be okay. Do not forget, also, that as well as the warranty, you may have additional rights under certain state laws

i'm hoping you have a license for that replica of XP! heavily the replica may well be backdoored or deliver your info to a hacker/thief in simple terms insert the replica of xp and deploy over vista. i could partition the HDD to envision that it particularly works because of the fact if it would not you're screwed as quickly as you have deleted vista. try it in virtualbox that's loose utility that facilitates you to place in an working equipment interior yet another one. you need to objective downloading Ubuntu (no longer by skill of skill of utorrent - try an respected website) and utilising it somewhat. it particularly is no longer stable for video games yet is supported a minimum of (your replica of xp should not be registered so which you will no longer get provider packs or updates!) deploy wubi to be certain if Ubuntu if stable sufficient for you. it particularly is going to likely be quicker on your equipment and could do each little thing different than window's video games.

Based on my limited knowledge of operating systems, you cannot have both vista and xp on the same computer. Try calling acer. Maybe you will be lucky and get someone who can advise you.

I don't believe that would void your warranty at all. That does not involve opening the case or anything, so I would say you are good to go. I really don't think you need to keep Vista on there anyway.

It would not void the warranty for the hardware of the computer. However it would void any software support that they would normally give you as it is no longer the same software set up as they gave you.

That has nothing to do with your warranty.
You can even have 3 different OS as long they fit well in the HD
