At present times what is more sensible choice one can take from following

CORRUPTION :( To remain silent and comply with corrupt and unjust action of a powerful and get work done effortlessly but end up self ashamed.

or

HONESTY :) To protest and refuse to comply with powerful and face delay, bear costs and might get hurt in the process but gain pride and self respect.

IMO the best answer is" "It depends."

Too many people get involved in too many crusades and lose their credibility. Pick and choose your battles.

And always remember this last bit of advice:
"Never fight a battle you cannot win."

Both are good / practical. Be honest as far as possible.
I am trying to reframe your question for me.
CORRUPTION: To remain silent and comply with corrupt and unjust action of a powerful... My wife is NOT giving me desired food. She: Eat what is given. This is corruption.
HONESTY: To protes and refust to comply with powerful and face delay, bear costs and ...
If I express, she shouts, more and more. I have to keep quiet.
She is always right. I get hurt. I am not getting pride and self respect. All say that I am complaining. I fact, I tell my need.
Every lady is corrupt. All are selfish.

I believe that honesty wins out in the end. One may have to go through some aches and pains in the process but in due time the hurt will go away.

We should stand for honesty and fight corruption. It is not a easy fight, we have to use tact and persistence. Weeding out corruption is the most difficult things, because the roots go deep and it surface again and again even after cutting it.

Tis better to be the devil's right hand, than in his path.

We pay taxes to a corrupt government, or we face imprisonment. Sometimes corruption is not a choice but a lack of options.

To thine own self be true. Your self respect and integrity are worth more than worldly gain. What profit it a man to gain the whole world and lose his own soul?
I think the answer is clear.

CORRUPTION: It s a easier path. Where u live n let live. But at the end u will pay for it.

HONESTY: Most difficult path. U have to struggle for it. But the end result will be sweet.

Up to u to choose...

Good wishes to u ! :-)

to protest in the wrong way, at the wrong time, is stupid. it would have been stupid to stand up at a rally in Germany and yell out that Hitler was a monster. you must use common sense when disagreeing
