Hi All~ I'm currently scheduled for a pap smear tomorrow, but my husband and I are currently TTC. I don't know if I'm pregnant or not (my period isn't due till 3/13) but I wanted to make sure it's still safe in case I am. Do any of you know? Is it okay to have a pap this early into a pregnancy? Thanks!!

i was not even 4 weeks pregnant when i found out i was pregnant and the first thing my doctor did was do a pap smear...she just wanted to check to see if my cervix was ok and then check if i had any pain in my abdomen which could be a bad sign of a sign of an ectopic pregnancy....so i think its ok to get one done and i don't think it will harm your baby or you in any way...its not very pleasant though lol but we all have to do it and when you go to your obgyn for the first time thats what they are going to do ...at least for me...so i think you'll be ok

yes it is. i actually found out i was pg with 2nd girl on the same day i had a pap. she is fine

I am sure that it will be OK
but you should explain your concern to the doc before he does the procedure for the test
