As anyone who is taking Honors or AP courses, you think you weighted grade will be you savior. But do colleges look at the weighted or unweighted grade. ( and im not talking about the colleges that don't even count H or AP, makes no sense to do all that work anyway) Cause an 85 in mathH is 91.8~92. Im a junior and time is running short. Thanks.

weighted grades are only an advantage if you are doing wellif you feel your grade might drop i would say drop down a level.. an A or B in an honors or ap is great but if you are getting CDor F then it would look better to have an A or B in a college prep class..colleges are not only looking t your gpa and sat scores... they want to make sure you are reliable to make good choices in your acedemic carreer while it may llok nice that you were striving for a higher level even if you didnt do too well in it it is more important to them that you understand your capabilieties and know your strengths and weaknesses!

Colleges would much rather see lower grades with a more difficult course load than straight A's and really easy classes. Keep up the good work, but you shouldn't have trouble getting into college with all honors or AP courses and a 3.0 GPA.

Because different high schools weight grades differently, colleges can't really use the weighted average. (Your school probably does use the weighted average to calculate rank, so it is still important to you). The college is going to look at the courses you took. Taking advanced courses shows that you are trying to prepare yourself for the level of difficulty you will face at college, so they take that into consideration. Don't take blow-off classes your senior year or college will come as a big shock.

It depends on the college. They are really looking if you
took the ap passed (3 or 4) to get college credit. just taking the ap looks good enough. don't worry about grades. they are only a small part of if you get accepted or not.
good luck to you

it depends where you apply, they look at both. if you only take the ap class and do not take the ap exam (for college credit) i don't think they look at your grade as any better than taking a normal class. I only took one ap course in hs and didn't take the ap exam and it didn't make a difference.
