I think the film is one of the best produced docudramas I've ever seen. Most "re-enactments" are cheesy, like on "Cold Case Files" or some other silly true-crime show. "Touching the Void" recreates a true story elegantly with great actor, sound, and beautiful visuals. What do you think?

I thought it was a great docudrama. Certainly one of the best films of 2003.

Do you have The Discovery Channel? If you do, I highly recommend watching one of its good programs, "I Shouldn't be Alive" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0492429/)

It is a weekly series of well produced docudramas about true events similar to "Touching the Void."

I agree. I think one of the reasons it's so well-done is that they had the two original climbers come along to help with accuracy.

I thought it was very intense and very well made. That the guy who fell into the crevasse survived is amazing.
