It's never done this before. I did the hard reset and now it's asking me to calibrate the digitizer, but it doesn't recognize me touching the screen. The buttons don't work either. It won't let me hot sync it because the button doesn't work to start a hot sync. I haven't put anything new on it in ages, and the last time I hot synced it was probably a week ago, and had no problems with it. Was in the middle of playing scrabble on it, waiting for my office to open up, when it just froze. Have done soft, warm and finally hard reset with no luck. Any more advice, please help as the guide provides me with little help! Thanks in advance!

turns out you can run a folded piece of paper around the edge of the screen just under the case and it gets rid of the crud that is confusing the digitizer. Did that and now is working like a charm!

You have probably installed an incompatible app or hack on the E. What happens is that when you resync your backup, it reloads the software from the backup. If the Tungsten resets and works until you sync it, that's probably the case. What you will need to do in this case is find the backup directory on your computer, and move all the .prc files to a new directory. Then add the prc files back in 1 by 1 until you find the one it doesn't like , and don't use it.

Also sometimes the Palm will "Latch-up". If the "E" immediately lock up, let the battery run -down completely before recharging it. Sometimes that works.
