Leaking what? Joe Wilsons wife was not outed by either Cheney or Libby. Further that was not even one of the charges against Libby, at least not one he was found guilty of. Nice try though

You aren't getting it, are you? The leak was not actually a crime. It is a federal felony to leak the name on a covert CIA agent. Valerie Plame was not covert so it was not a crime. Reprehensible, maybe. Petty, definitely but not a crime. The only crime committed was Libby lying to a grand jury and that is what he was found guilty of, perjury.

Is reality too hard for Democrats and liberals and other Bush-bashers to handle?

There was no leak of a covert agent to the press by the White House. This has been established.

For reasons unknown, Libby lied or seriously misremembered events. IMO he should have just said, "I can't recall" like Hillary did during the investigations into all the Clinton scandals.

Cheney didn't leak, Libby didn't leak. that's why there was no leak trial. it was a perjury trial. it has been determined by the c.i.a. that since she was not a covert agent, it is not illegal to point out that she works for the c.i.a..

Libby wasn't convicted in connection with the leak. He was convicted of obstructing the federal investigation by perjuring himself. This will probably lead to more success in indictments for the leak itself.

LoL at the answer regarding the 'prosecutor with an agenda'.

Fitz was one of their guys - right up until he started sticking his nose where they didn't want him to stick it.

Libby is in all of this trouble because he couldn't keep his story straight, and had to pretend like he was having memory problems in order to keep from implicating his boss (which would be a death sentence).

Guilty of what? Cheney was not on trial, get over it.

"Scooter" broke the law as it related to communications with the FBI and the courts... obstruction, perjury... and was found guilty. Court adjourned

He has not stood trial for any crimes yet, so he has not been found guilty by the courts. I really don't think anyone else can determine his guilt or innocence.
