I honestly don't know what to study in college. As in, nothing really catches my interest. I don't want to be a nurse or a doctor. I have no interest in being a lawyer or a politician. I thought about being a communications major once but I'm not sure if I want to do that sort of thing. Or is Liberal Arts just a cop out? Comments and help appreciated. :)

I do value the importance of a solid education! I just don't know where to begin. :(

Liberal arts is fine for the first year, you'll get your pre-reqs out of the way. Change it to something solid by the second year. If you still don't know, take a year off and do some travelling or volunteer work to find yourself.

We have a T-shirt in the Business Department:
"Friends don't let friends major in Communications."

If you want "just a job" study accounting, it'll open the most doors for you. Most accountants who get bored with the material become successful managers, and it allows to work in most industries. This is nice if you have no driving passions at this point.

I loved being a Liberal Arts major. I actually got a very well-rounded education. The key is to take just enough classes and intern with a really great company. I don't know where you live but bigger cities have better opportunities at this point in time. If not, you may be sitting at your desk answering questions to Yahoo Answers in ten years instead of looking for a job, dammit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Take a bunch of different community college classes and see which one you like the most. Science, fashion design, foreign language, history, music, art, interior decoration, architecture, etc.
