I'm doing a karaoke contest in April & really have no idea what to sing... I'm an alto (so nothing too high!) and the songs should be country (any country) or rock-ish (like Pat Benatar for example) sooo please help me out!! I really wanna win!

Anything by Reba or Martina McBride or Trisha Yearwood would do well. Valentine by McBride, How will I live etc. Get out your cds or go listen to some of their music and pick one. I've found with friends who do Karoke that if it's something pretty familiar the crowd reacts better. You might even want to look at some of the more traditional female country stars like Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette, Barbara Mandrell, Patty Loveless.
