be grateful for that honestly because you'll miss that. heck at least you have a father, unfortunately i didn't that and i have 2 kids(who i love more than life its self) with dead beat as fathers because i really didn't know how i was suppose ti be treated and settled for less. he's just trying to protect you from some of the sickos out here as along as he can.

Chill! You're 11, not 18. He's trying to hang on to his baby girl, and you haven't thought of yourself that way in years. But you have to handle the situation maturely, if that's the way you want him to handle it. Maybe you could find a couple of good friends to walk to school with you, and introduce them to your dad. If he knows you're in safe hands, he might be a little more lenient. Or compromise. He can take you to school if you can walk home with your friends. It's going to take some time and work, but the best thing you can do for yourself is keep your cool.

According to statistics, in that one block you live from school, there could be up to 10 registered sexual predators and maybe more if they aren't registered. You are a prime victim for one if you think you can walk by them without a parent with you. Your dad obviously loves you more than you think. True, he doesn't fit in with your friends, but what parent does? Ease up because a day may come that you will want him there to keep you safe.
