No aspirin or IBU Profin at all! Tylenol is okay though. And ONLY take any medication if you seriously need it.

Children and women should NEVER take asprin unless told to specifically by a doctor! Tylenol is about the only pain killer you are supposed to take during pregnancy. Talk to your doctor (your ob, not your gp) if it does not work for your pain, he may be able to prescribe something.

Acetaminophin is the only thing I was told I could take, ibuprofen hasn't been ok'd to use during pregnancy, and aspirin thins out your blood, so aspirin is BIG no-no. Check with your doctor if the tylenol isn't working well enough for you :) Good luck!

Tylenol is what my doctor gave me. I am pretty sure we're not supposed to take advil or asprin (according to the books and websites).

You could only take Tylenol, asprin is not safe. you may be dehydrated so try drinking lots of water.

DO NOT TAKE ASPIRIN!!! It can interfere with proper heart development of your baby! In addition, it things your blood and can cause serious bleeding complications during labor. Also do not take ibuprofen (for the same reason)

That said.. you CAN take tylenol.

You cannot take aspirin when you are pregnant, the only safe pain medication that Doctors prescribe is Tylenol, and don't overdue it.

Tylenol is your best bet. Call your OB and clear it with him/her first, just in case. I have migraines, and when I was pregnant my Dr. gave me a 'script for really strong Motrin. But always ALWAYS run things by your OB, better safe than sorry. Congrats.
