Do they give these tags out to the people who can put up with being called stupid all the time or what?
I think the the one I have just means 90% of the people here have called me an idiot at least once.

I'm pretty sure it is of some importance in sections like home and garden, IT and things like that but in the cesspool we call politics its of no consequence. I personally dont like it and wish there was a way to remove it. sadly there isn't (I checked) I would guess some big wig got a nice raise for thinking of it and implementing it but other than that its pretty lame in my view. The network thing is pretty cool though so I give them my appreciation on that.

Can't be, because I have been called all manner of foul epithets including Republican and I don't have one. I was looking around this morning for what constitutes a Top Contributor but didn't find an explanation in the Help Section. Maybe I just haven't been called an idiot enough times yet :)

What right does yahoo have to give awards without paying the top contributor, that's what I want to know. Typical corporate crap: give a big title to the cog in the wheel but don't compensate with a pay raise. No wonder the U.S is tanking. We're just a bunch of fvcking mushrooms in that We're kept in the dark and fed crap all day. LOL, damn it!

Congratulations! You're still in the running to become America's next top contributor.

I don't have one :-(. But, I like to contribute in other areas as well. I need to step away from the political section once in a while.

I think instead of saying "Top contributor" it should read either:

1) Least Amount of Life
2) Laziest Person at Work
3) Failing out of School

The 'top contributor' badge means that they spend the most time on yahoo! answers, instead of doing whatever they are supposed to be doing.

They might as well be labeled 'top slack-meister'

The tag really means that we have no life and are on the verge of unemployement.

All it means is that there's a whole hell of a lot of us spending way too much time here.

Thankfully,it's starting to warm up,so I'll be outside working soon.

I'm not sure exactly what they designate. I don't even know the criteria to get it. It doesn't really take courage to post anonymously.
