I am on the "breast feeding" birth control pill. I took my last active pill on Saturday, and it is Thursday and still no period. When should it come?

I have already had my period, my son is 10 months and not nursing as much. I would just like to know on average, how many days does it taketo get your period while taking the inactive pills.

Since you are breastfeeding you may not get a period at all. A period is a shedding of the uterine lining.......you may not be building up a lining to shed. Breastfeeding is mother natures form of birth control (although not real reliable).....in other words your body isn't ready to conceive yet.

**If you just started taking the pills you may not get your period the first month. It really depends on your body's reaction to the b/c pills. When in doubt call your Dr's office and talk with the nurse about your concerns.

It may not come for quite a while. Breastfeeding changes the menstrual cycle. Some women who breastfeed do not have any periods until they stop. Don't let this fool you though. You may still ovulate and hence be able to get pregnant.
You may mention it to your doctor if you don't get one next month but, in the meantime relax and enjoy your baby.
