Because if life has no meaning and since life is often very painful (Who ever asked the meaning of life when they were happy?) then suicide is the logical option. And usually insanity or suicide is what follows people who think that.

However, if we are created by God, for a purpose, then life has meaning and life is worth living.

You feed your body junk it's not created to eat and you get sick and die. You feed your soul junk it's not supposed to eat and the same thing happens.

God created our bodies for good food, not poison and He created our hearts to receive and share His love not hopelessness or confusion offered by materialism.

The meaning of life It is the MOST sensible and important question a person can ask.

Who ever created something without a purpose?
One cell of your body is immeasurably more complex than the computer in front of you. There are trillions of cells in your body. If you think it would be stupid to see something as comparatively simple as a computer and conclude it came by accident and has no purpose then how much more stupid to do the same with the marvel of engineering that is yourself?

Keep thinking ;)

Because life, even though "lived" is part of the vast unknown. Even though many travel along throughout life, they do not truly "live" at all. The meaning of life is what YOU make of it. Just remember this: No matter what, the time is NOW and the place is HERE. What does this mean? It means you must live life in the present. This is very hard to do, seeing as how one's mind is centered in the past (memories, etc...) and the future (goals, etc...). Your mind is trained from "the age of reason" to record images and remember things...for FUTURE reference. That is why it is so hard to live life for the NOW and why it is so hard to enjoy the present.

Because we have this absurd notion that everything has a deeper meaning and as the kingpins in the animal kingdom, we (i.e. human beings) must therefore have a higher purpose.......that's why we ponder on the "meaning of life" because we believe there is more to it than just the daily grind of surviving....
