I don't think Paula was ever about honesty. She is there because she makes a good show (doesn't look half bad and fights with Simon all the time). As far as her comments as a judge, she basically makes people feel good, and if you notice she cares more about the good looking guys and cute girls. She always argues with Simon (who isn't very tactful, but always hits the nail on the head by being RIGHT) and then never has anything original to say. She's lucky Randy speaks first, because a lot of times she copies him. I don't think musically she has a leg to stand on, but she's there to get people to watch the show.

Paula can't even finish complete sentences half the time. Some nights I think she's on something, seriously.
But yeah, she doesn't have a bad word to say about anyone - and that can be bad, considering some of the singers lack of talent. That's why I like Simon. If you suck, he's going to tell you "that was ghastly."

She's never been honest with the contestants. She always beats around the bush...even if she wants to tell them that they sucked...she always starts out with "you look very nice tonight". She won't say 'that was just horrible". She'll say "that was a little pitchy". She'll say things differently than what she really means, in nicer ways.

I dont think that shes losing her ability, I just think shes trying to be the kind hearted one, so that she doesnt get the reputation of one simon cowell

I don't know that she ever was all that truthful. She sugar coats everything, telling them all how they "shine" or are "unique" or "brought something special", etc. Simon is the only one on that show that truly judges the contestants.

She might as well not even judge...All she does is dance and then patronizes the singers no matter how bad they are! Simon and Randy at least tell it like it is.
