Yes, RCD required only if in Zone 1. Zone 2 need only be IPX4 or 5 if hosing down!

Both the previous answers are correct.
All the info is there for you to see.
As from January 2008 the 17th Edition will be issued and ALL bathroom/shower room circuits will need a RCD.Including lights
May as well fit one now.

You should not be installing any electrical fittings in your bathroom unless you are part p registered as all jobs need to be notified to building regulations office.Any advice you receive should be disregarded,only qualified registered electrician can help you and provide legal certification
