"Crimson and Clover" is the title of a top selling song by Tommy James and the Shondells in about 1970 - 71. "Crimson and Clover" are the main lyrics and don't seem to mean anything. "Crimson and Clover", however, remains a popular set of names for twins.

Ah, now I don't hardly know her
But I think I could love her
Crimson and clover
Ah when she comes walking over
Now I've been waitin' to show her
Crimson and clover over and over
Yeah, my, my such a sweet thing
I wanna do everything
What a beautiful feeling
Crimson and clover over and over
Crimson and clover over and over
Crimson and clover over and over
Crimson and clover over and over
Crimson and clover over and over
This is one of my favorite classic songs - but attempt to find a meaning - well you should draw your own conclusion.

'Crimson' is the word for another shade of red.
and a 'clover' are those little 3 (4 if you're lucky!) petaled plants.
