CCleaner (Crap Cleaner) is the easiest way to do this and free up space/check for errors

For Internet Explorer:

Tools > Internet Options

Select the General tab.

Click on Delete cookies. Once done, click on Delete files. Tick the Delete all offline content box, then click OK.

For Firefox, press Ctrl + Shift + Del

Microsoft also ships in a disk cleaning utility. Go to Start > Run and type in cleanmgr.exe

Select the drive where Windows is installed (by default it's C drive) and click OK.

Select the Disk Cleanup tab.

Tick these boxes: Downloaded Program Files, Temporary Internet Files, Temporary Files and click OK.

Just click on Tools>Internet Options>then click on delete where it says delete temerary files, and then delete Temporary Internet Files.

Top of your browser; Tools > Internet Options > Delete Files and you can Delete Cookies. When I Delete Files on my computer it Deletes the Cookies too. If, a box open check "off line content".

Most are small .exe files and a .doc they are zipped. I make a folder for each and unzip and extract them to their specific folder.

Google "cleanup.exe"
It cleans EVERYTHING, I use it all the time
