You are not the real fan of Barcelona if you can say that. Ronaldinho may be having a tough period, but C. Ronaldo isn't at any point close to Ronnie's abilities. He's a fad, for now. He has a LOT more to prove to be even compared to Ronaldinho. You probably only want C. Ronaldo because he is good looking. How superficial.

If Ronaldinho left he would go to Milan. And no, we don't need C. Ronaldo.

Excuse my question, but what did C. Ronaldo do against average Lille?

I hope so. I do hope so. I do so fervently hope so. But would pity Barca fans if it happened. The Catalans are very much like the Scousers - great fans, respectfull of opposing sides' supporters. And they're full of pride in their Catalan identity. They don't deserve having that Ronaldo bloke at Nou Camp. Man Utd deserve to keep him at Old Trafford.

I can understand your point but in my opinion he didnt 'suck' he is such an outstanding player that when he plays a game towards the lower level of his standard we are so used to having him making us say wow that we think..hes rubbish, some people may disagree but that is my opinion and when i have pitched it to many of my friends and colligues they have all 100% agreed.

Ronaldo opens talks over new deal

Ronaldo wants to stay at Man Utd - but play in Spain one day
Portugal winger Cristiano Ronaldo has opened talks with Manchester United on extending his contract.
But the 22-year-old, whose current deal expires in 2010, repeated his desire to play in Spain one day.

"We have talked and I hope to reach agreement as soon as possible," he told Portuguese radio station Antena 1.

"Nothing has been decided yet and I would like to stay. I would like to play in Spain one day, but I am happy here at Manchester."

United would be keen to tie down a player manager Sir Alex Ferguson has described as the best player in the world.

Ronaldo has been subject of speculation linking him with an end-of-season move to either Real Madrid or Barcelona.

He added: "You can never be certain of anything in life but I am happy here and I want to stay here. In football there are no guarantees.

"If I don't leave now, if I leave in two, three, four, five years I would be happy, I am at a great club."

Ronaldo joined United from Sporting Lisbon for £12m in August 2003, on a five-year contract which he extended by a further two years in November 2005.

Meanwhile, departing striker Henrik Larsson has ruled out returning to international football with Sweden.

Larsson's winner in his last game for United sent the Reds into the quarter-finals of the Champions League on Tuesday.

And it was rumoured he was weighing up a return for his country against Northern Ireland on 28 March in Belfast.

But he said: "That will not happen, my time with the national team is finished.

"They have great forwards already with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Marcus Allback and Johan Elmander - they will do just fine without me."
