Depends upon your definition of overweight/unattractive. Dolly Parton, Trisha Yearwood, and Wynona Judd (to name a few) have well documented weight issues.

Why should appearance have anything to do with talent? And why should this standard only pertain to women? There have been some pretty fugly guys who have had lots of sucess in country music...Lyle Lovett for one.

Absolutely...Wynonna is pretty porky and not really that attractive but she has made lots of money because she can really sing well
