It's called '1933'-a novel, but based on historical fact-it's good!

I'm on year 5 of reading the bible daily. Even reading the geneology is beneficial because we can see that God had records kept so that the Messiah could be easily identified. This is the only book that explains why we're here, why there is suffering in the world, and what the future holds. I encourage its use when I meet people in my ministry.

I also read Nancy Drew books for fun, have a prosaic book my Daddy gave me (title?) by Charles Lindberg's wife that I've been reading off and on. I skimmed a book called, "Truth in Translation" recently (had to give it back the next day) and that was about English bible translations. Very insightful!

I am currently reading a young adult novel called "Senses Working Overtime" by Naomi Nash. The story is about a girl with synthensia (I may be spelling that wrong) which means she processes stimuli differently than most people. For example when someone talks to her she can smell their words (no, I'm not talking about bad breath) and she hears noises as colors. She is trapped in NYC when the power goes out all over the country and she is trying to get home. To make matters worse she is being chased by a former classmate who wants to bully her in to giving her the money out of her father's bank account. I'm almost finished with the book and it has been pretty interesting so far.

I love supernatural and fantasy books.I am waiting for the next book in the Dresden book files by Jim Butcher. There are 8 books in the series beginning with stormfront. Each novel in the series is told from the fictional perspective of Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden (named by his father after Harry Houdini, Harry Blackstone, Sr., and David Copperfield). Dresden is the only professional wizard in modern-day Chicago (he is in the phone book, under "Wizards").In the world of The Dresden Files, magic is real, along with vampires, demons, spirits, faeries, werewolves, and more. The general public that Harry Dresden works to protect does not believe in magic or the large array of dark forces which regularly conspire against them. This makes it tough for Harry to get by as a working wizard and private eye.He is aided by Bob,a talking skull.Karrin Murphy-a police officer and Thomas-a white court vampire.

Fire Starter by Stephen King - He is the master of horror and character creation in this "classic" novel.

I have read this book several times over the last 20 years. It is a great book!

Bait and Switch by Barbara Ehrenreich about looking for a high level job in America. It's good, but Nickel and Dimed, which was about the low wage workforce in America, was better.

"A Mango Shaped Space"- a great book about a thirteen year old girl with "colorful hearing" or synethesia, which means every sound, letter, and number has its own color, pattern, texture, and geometric shape. Interesting, to me, how she looks at the world!

"Pretties"- the second book in the "Uglies" trilogy. Tally gets to be a pretty!

"Bridge to Terabithia"- I'm at the part where Leslie dies (tear, tear)
