Help! I am in a rut. I was placed on disability due to medical problems and am not allowed to work for at least 2 months. Disability pays next to nothing, needless to say, not enough for my bills and expenses. I have lived with my bf for a year, but I am having my car repo'd now bc I can't pay it. I don't want to leave him at all, and it is going to be super-tight moneywise for the next few months. Should I move back with my parents, who live 7 hours away? I would be debt-free, and no monthly bills. But that would mean I have to break up with him, obviously. Or I could move in with my grandma on the other side of town, but that would be so hard being so close to him, but not, you know? What if he stopped seeing me or something? What would you do in this sitch? Wait it out, or just cut your losses and split? Thanks so much for any input!

Okay, Girlie, time to take action.

You need to see a lawyer about the pros and cons of bankruptcy. Contrary to popular belief most people file because of medical expenses.

Next check with social services and apply for every program you can, including retraining. Some states will pay for your schooling and give you unemployment. As for living with Mom and Dad, I don't know what you relationship is with them. But if you're on good term with them, it may be time to return to the nest until you get settled. Think of this as a temporary arrangement.

Good luck, Honey!

First ,what is best for you,and only you know this. Can you talk
it over with everyone and ask their opinions too.Talk to your
BF first off.He may need some space because of situation,
and maybe you need more help then he can give for now.
I would focus on myself and getting well,so you can become independent again.Do what it takes to do that first.Moving
isn't the big problem. You need your life back.To be productive again.
