So I desperatly want to change my hair color, but am unsure of what would go good...My natural hair color is a light brown, and right now it is dyed black...Honestly I really wanted to try and go blonde, and then hopefully later go to some shade of burgandy or red, but I dont know if it would work well with my skin tone. Here are some pics of myself,so you can see my skintone. Please tell me what you think would look good!
oh and by the way I know my brows are dark but If need be I would change them!

I tried to get the ones where I had the most natural lighting so you could see my true skintone.

And please,if you dont have anything nice to say, dont say anything at all!

hmm... the darker you go, the paler your face will look, so i wouldnt do real dark in any case. i think a reddish tone would look good on you.

soyouwanna.com says this about choosing a color

"Cool" people should stay away from hair colors with reddish or golden hues and seek out the cooler colors, ranging from platinum to blue-black. "Warm" people should choose colors with golden and red highlights, from strawberry blonde to dark auburn."

(Usually, "warm" people have golden or reddish tones, whether in their skin, hair, or eyes, and "cool" people have bluish tones and skin and hair without a hint of gold.)

hope this helps :)

As a hairstylist I would recommend taking it slow. The only way to remove the color black from hair is with bleach. Bleach is extremely hard on the hair and can be very damaging if in the wrong hands.

Only go to a professional to have this done, DO NOT LET YOUR FRIENDS HELP AT HOME!!!!!

Do not freak out watching the bleach work. The natural base color of black is red. So as the bleach works it will break down the natural and artificial pigments in and on your hair. It will go from black, to red to orange and eventually yellow. At this point new colors can be applied.

For you I would recommend that you go for a natural looking brunette and have your stylist add 2-3 natural looking blondes for highlighting. If done right this will give your hair a natural “sun kissed” look. It will be very pretty.

I have the same natural brown hair....and it was died black.
My hairdresser friend decided it was time to take me to a platinum blonde! one word-caution!!!
I do like the blond. But I always like doing something different. My hair has been just about every color there is. But remember that the only way to take out the black is with bleach! Bleach is so harsh.
Once you have the bleach on...your hair will quickly come to a reddish color. Depending on your hair pigments...it could take a long time to get that red out. It took FOREVER for me.
Then once the red is out....it does this awful sunny d. brassy yellowy blond. That's hard to get out too. The trick...you don't want to leave the bleach on too long.

Basically, it took a total of 3 bleach jobs to turn my hair to a lovely white blond. My hair is fried! Ruined. I had to cut about half of it off because I refuse to be short again....it took way to long to grow it out the first time.
Good news: once all that is done. your roots will take only about 30-40 min to get to the same white blond. It's just the died black stuff that will be hard.

Maybe seek a professional. Although mine was one as well.

And remember...your haircolor doesn't wear you...you wear it! If you have enough confidence you can pull off anything.

Try dirty blonde. I wouldn't go for the bleach blonde thing it may be too much pale. I love your natural brown color, but I think the lighter brown would look nice. Maybe get your eyebrows lightened too to match.

I would go with a type of red color. Taking your hair to blond will be very hard and would fry your hair. Red also would look good on you. You could do red highlights with a brunette base.

Dont go blonde it wouldnt work on you at all...but you would look AMAZING as an aubourne (a brownish red). Try that one!

Wow, you're very pretty.

I would say red. Yes, I'm biased because I love red-headed women but I also think red would look lovely on you.
