Why do people put so much stock in astrology. All signs are off by one month. You would tell me if I were born today I was a Pisces but the sun is in aquarius and Ophiucus was dropped to get rid of the dreaded 13.

It's funny you'd mention that. I just thought about this a couple of days ago. It's not just the one-month sign thing, apparently it's also the era thing, which puts us in the age of Capricorn, not Aquarius.
(i do want to remain an Aries, though...)

surprisingly enough the geocities page had quite a deal of truth to it. i'll get into why the serpent handler is not used in the zodiac. but there is two zodiacs Tropical which most venues use today and the Sidereal Zodiac both recognize that each sign takes up exactly 30 degrees of space in the sky, for the most part they only dissagree on where the zodiac starts. the Tropical Zodiac Starts at the Vernal Equinox, where as the Sidereal Zodiac uses the Starting of the Aries Constellation...
and yes there is about a month difference between the two.
why Ophiucus was dropped? lets strip down our concept of time, everything was based off of .. yes astrology. the week uses the planets with the then 7 known planets (monday = moon - day, sunday = sun day .... etc) we have 12 months (12 signs) and 24 hours in a day (2 12's) everything fit perfectly into the base 12 .. not to mention the 360 degrees of a circle can be evenly divided up into sections of 30 degrees each, and further into 10 degree decans. it was not dropped to get rid of the dreaded 13 but instead because everything just worked out with 12.

so what if I am very aquarius? although your method says im capricorn... (feb 1st) and if you lump that with my eastern year signe, Im a pig acording to the eastern calender, It describes me almost to a T. So what is that about? I would love to hear more about this from you as astrology is something that interests me greatly if you can email me at tybardy@yahoo.com

There is nothing chance about it. Its very predictable. More so than most of the accepted 'ologies' of today.
One small example, consider how the moon pulls the tidal waters...how much of our body is water? If gravity can pull oceans of water can it not also effect the body?
If the planetary movements were by chance then they would not be predictable.
