Keep Hanley is young and not into his prime yet, he'll steal you some bases. Part of what makes micheal young as good as he is, is because he plays in TX everyone hits at least 20 Homers a year there, if he ever leaves his stats will go down. Keep Hanley he's got more potential, however both are very good players

Probably depends on if your team is going to be good this year, if you want to contend take Young, if you're giving up take Ramirez. I don't say this because I dislike Ramirez, he's a great looking kid w/ a LOT of potential. But it's unrealistic to say that he will have the same year in '07 as '06. Young is still only 30 and you have at least 5 more seasons before you'll even need to think about SS, on the other hand with Ramirez you might get 10 (or none). Chances you'll be disappointed in Young's season, very small, Ramirez's, moderate at best. You'd hate to come in a close second because because you let a franchise type player go.

Hanley is just coming into his prime and the team behind him is improving. As he cuts his K's down, after a full year of experience, his on base percentage will rise and so will his SB's and avg. He will probably go over 200 hits this year and his power numbers may go up as well. Young has pretty much topped out, he is a solid as a rock performer and the numbers you see are most likely going to be the numbers you get. Texas has done little to increase any of his stats so look for the usual 200+ hits, .300+ avg, 100 RBI's and 90 runs.
Depending on your league scoring, keep Han-Ram. His upside is a big bonus and his downside risk is not that severe of a downgrade from Michael.
If i'm in a H2H league, I might lean a little more towards Michael just because of consistancy, he usually performs the same every week and avoids slumps - you can plug him in the lineup and forget about that position knowing what you will get. Younger players tend to have ups and downs which are not good for h2h where you are playing a new game weekly as opposed to season long numbers.

I like Michael Young because he has a better track record. Not sure what Hanley Ramirez can do for an encore performance. Also, the Marlins may not be as good as last year with a new manager and all that.

Hanley is fast, and will get some SB's, but he is reckless and will get caught a lot, too. Michael Young didn't have a great season last year, but has more experience, AND is in his contract year.
Expect Young to step up and put the numbers up as you see Ramirez fade into another young Marlins lineup.

I would go with Young. Ramirez was a rookie who had a great season but I am not so sure he can do it again. Young is good. You know what you are going to get. 200 hundred hits 100 runs 20-25 homers and 100 rbi's batted in with a nice average and a handful of steals

Based on potential, I would keep Hanley. We've pretty much seen what Michael Young will do year in and year out which sometimes could be a good thing to have consistency. With Hanley however, he gets you steals plus he's young so he has more room to grow. But beware, he could have a case of sophmortitis where he has a subpar season. In any case, I'd take that gamble.

it all depends if you need steals on your team or not. If you do not need stolen bases then keep Young, if you do need SB's then keep Ramirez. Don't forget Ramirez is still young and may not be as good as last year. You already know what Michael Young can do because he has been in the league for a few years.

Keep the HanRam, Young's stats can be made up for at other positions and realistically you are only going to lose much in RBI's and Avg. by going with Hanley. Hanley is a 5-tool up and comer, he could have a season like J.Reyes, who is going top 5 in which case he would destroy Young.

I would go with Hanley Ramirez. Both are young, talented kids, but Ramirez will get a lot more steals.
