I live in a Blue state. My vote has helped my state achieve a Democratic majority in both state houses, a Democratic governor, four out of five members of the House, our senior Senator (the junior Senator is a fairly moderate Republican), and our electoral votes have gone to Kerry, Gore, and Clinton both times. Actually Oregon is more of a green state than a blue state and you have to be a moderate in either party to win an election.

I am from the United States and we are politically diverse. I am against this whole red state/blue state mentality in general because it is just another way to divide us politically and keep us focused on something other than the real issues and problems we face as a people. However, if you really must know I am from Texas and the Republicans have the majority. I am an independent conservative.
Edit: Definitely an enticing offer Tiff, but I think my wife might have a problem with that. Thanks for the smile though.

I'm a red soul in a blue state. Michigan.
Funny thing, though, is that this blue state voted for an amendment to ban same sex marriage and to eliminate racial preferences by government institutions.
Things that make you go hmmmm.....

I live in a blue state but I am kind of purple. I don't want to be put in a box (politically or otherwise) We have a very outspoken liberal Senator and a republican governor ( I don't live in California) both of whom I have vote for.

I live in TN, so I would say the prevailing views of the state in general are much more socially conservative than I hold personally. However, Bush is not nearly as popular hear as he used to be. I see a lot more unhappy people in my neighborhood.

I live in a blue state. I happen to live in the only red county of this blue state, though...
I like to think of myself as Violet. Mainly blue, with a hint of red.
No, I haven't lived here my entire life. I think it just interests me and I like to have an opinion on EVERYTHING. And I've always been like this.
But I think you have a valid point. I live in Michele Bachman's constituency and I think I campaigned harder for her opposition than I have for anyone because I was very against her views (even though I kind of knew she was going to win)
---
Bryan, Marry me.... seriously, we can have children who are intelligent, independant thinkers who have strong views but don't subscribe to the futility of radicalism.... hehehe...
[edit]
hehehe... oh well... can't win 'em all, I guess.

I am a Progressive Liberal from California, the BLUEST of the BLUE.
We have a liberal Democrat for a Governor, although he won't admit it.
California does get kinda scary in the middle part of the state, but that's just big agri-business talking ....
