I just read in yahoo news that barrack obama finally paid parking tickets just before entering the race for president of the united states ($400 plus late fees).

Do you think this is bad that he only paid the tickets when it may come out against his white house run?

Do you think it is interesting that the Democratic party talks about people not paying their fare share on taxes, but obama can not pay tickets for years?

Just wondering.

exposing hypocrisy in a leftist is pointless. they celebrate hypocrisy, after all. look how they drooled over a man who treated women like chattel after all these years of championing women's rights

I don't think parking tickets and taxes are related. And I think it's sad that in our country a candidate would even have to worry about things like parking tickets or smoking or even assassination before entering a political race.

Our politics have become way too polarized, and it's hurting our country and impeding our progress. One of the things I like about Barack is that he intends to help us find our common ground, and we do have quite a lot. If that could be accomplished, not only would we all get along better, but we could start solving the serious problems our country faces.

The worst possible thing that could happen is that the country elects another divider in 2008.

Really? Parking tickets? Is this all there is to worry about in a candidate? He has my vote as long as his major offenses are parking tickets and not: DUIs, harrassing congressional pages, using derogatory slurs, etc. Yep, I would vote for a guy with unpaid parking tickets

You're absolutely right. I think the $400 in unpaid parking tickets is exactly the same as the Enron, Jack Abramoff, Randy Duke Cunningham, Bob Ney, Tom Delay scandals.

/eye roll

If anything, he should be held accountable for not paying them on time just like any of us would be, but you are REALLLLLLLLLY stretching if this is the best you can do.

Probe Rudy or Mitt or John and you probably will find similiar kinds of things. Hillary, Johnny and the rest on that side too. These people are politicians that is the way they are, all of them no matter which party they are affiliated with.

Yeah, unpaid parking tickets is a huge campaign issue, They happened back when he was in college. It is pathetic that this is even being brought up. Show's how desperate Hillary is to find anything that may make him look bad. If this is the best they could come up with, that is terrific.

Well now that Yahoo News has it, will it ever reach the network news tonight? I doubt it!
You just have to know that it came from Clinton's camp.

Geeze, is that it? At least he didn't do something like embezzlement or extortion. Parking tickets snarking tickets. If that's the worse they found, I'm a happy camper.
