i think myspace brings out vanity in people in a way that is accepted.
myspace isn't always bad. my best friend uses myspace as a way to inform people on current news events and encourages discussion and free speech. his site also contains art, music and photography.
so, it could bring out the worst in people....but they do it to themselves. it's not the websites doing.

I tell you that this site is for the open minded is crazy and to be on it you need to have the maturity to know that there is a chance that those things could and will happen...all what it says on the page is probably not true so that is why better to be careful and not disclose too much or too little...but the good thing about it is that if you happen to be blessed to know in person some of your friends then you know best :o) as for being on their top 8-12 or 24...yeah I know the feeling...Im not number one on my very best friend...imagine that! LOL...
but yeah if you find it upsetting and its taken too much out of you dont even bother :o)
take care!
or see you in myspace LOL ;o)

Anonymity does strange things to people sometimes because they think that because "nobody knows who they are" that they can do and say anything, which gets them into trouble when people find out who they actually are. I have not personally experienced this problem with my friends, they are the same on MySpace than they are in real life. Sounds like your friend has some issues that he needs to work out.

I think that myspace has a time and a place, so do your existing mates. Their time and place is at the pub so you can talk rubbish over a few beers and then myspace time is on the nights when you don't see your real mates, and they shouldn't even be part of that.

Yes, the internet in general does. I think that Myspace is the cess pool of the world. I avoid it at all costs. Never had a profile, never will. If I ever have kids, neither will they. I've seen too much.

I think the three of you have issues that you need to sort out. It sounds like you have maturity issues that you should get over. surely you should have a life away from myspace. especially as this is the domain ofkids. from your photo your at least 5years too old to be there.

Oh yeah. It definately brings out the worst of everyone. I don't care to discuss what happened to me. (It's too personal.)
I want nothing to do with that website anymore.
