Not really when I'm cooking just maybe when I smoke in my house...
And there I am all ghetto with a towel back and forth underneath the smoke alarm.. =]

Not anymore because I moved it into the office. Before I moved it - it went off when I cook just about anything, pizza, chili, mac and cheese, toast, water ... That is how horrible I am as a cook.

Usually when Im baking cookies and the bottoms of some batches burn and so then the alarm goes off and its just so hard to get them just right.
