People hate emo kids because they run around crying for attention. Play music that they should keep to themselfs. (but never do) look like freaking idiots with stupid hair. They make guys look bad. They make Kids look ignorate. They make the human race look bad. C-mon look at the first person that replied to you... Drrrr Im a Vampire. Get a life. This emo stuff is uber lame. If your emo and reading this. its not an attack on you its on your lame *** lifestyle that everyone laughs at. esecialy when your 19 and still dress like a wierdo. Congrats you rejects you finaly have what your parents never gave you. Attention. Promoting emo is only hurting people mainly kids. it gives them a false sense of security in a group that will tae them no where.

Because the perception, based on the music lyrics (often almost humorously maudlin) and the fashion .. and maybe the cutting? ... is that emo kids are narcissistic (self absorbed and self centered), and act cynical and sad and affect a certain style for the sake of being cool, because they are neurotic bored by suburban life - rather than because they have actually suffered or know anything about suffering. This will always happen to youth cultures. After all, they are sort of "countercultural" so it's inevitable and maybe even desirable that they'll be sneered at in the mainstream. It happened when I was an "alternative" kid in high school in the eighties (also "New Wavers," "deathrockers," and "Goths"). The particular subculture doesn't matter; any conspicuous youth subculture is liable to seem superficial and narcissistic to the mainstream. Especially once a lot of bored suburban kids jump on the bandwagon.

I think teenagers wind up getting beat down no matter what. I remember years ago when I was fourteen or fifteen I'd get dirty looks from people at church because I guess since I was a teen I wasn't allowed there or something.
Same goes for emo kids. I think people just don't understand. Not to mention this new "emo" term is relatively modern, so people will always hate on something that's "new" that they just don't get yet.

I think they hate because emo people are different, and no one accepts different. Emo people don't follow the crowd-don't want to be doing the same things everyone else is-all they want to be is unique and have their own life style.
Don't hate people...it's just like you to hate something that's not like you. Take left-handed people. You probably hate them, too don't you, for being different and not like you!
Who the heck cares for the same boring thing?? If emo music or whatever else depresses you, then just DON'T listen to it!! Go listen to your pop music or whatever and leave people alone!

They bullie emo kids because they think we are different than the rest ...cuz they have diffrent music taste , style, or they bullie them because they r weak or afraid of them .
Advice : show them you dont care about what they say to u and take it as a joke like i do :) ...dont let them say whatever they waant to u
