Make sure you got the correct phone # and the name of the supervisor or manager in charge of hiring. Call or go in person,(dress appropriately) asking for the person in charge of hiring. Let him or her know your name and that you are checking on your application, and when would be a good time for an interview. If you keep calling, it show your are really interested in the job. I worked at a fast food restaurant for 11 years and I can tell you this: Don't call back to check on your application! Go in person every couple of days. Be persistant. And dress nice. Don't go in there in sweats and a t shirt and flip flops. Wear a nice shirt and jeans or slacks. Appearance really does matter to an employer. And be very friendly.

sweet smile, short skirt, and low cut top... that's how i got my first job at the fast food place next to my high school (i was 16).. the manager was a real perv. that's the same way 4 other girls got the job.. lol
