Congrats on your pregnancy. You sound like it's been a good one. You could walk around for a few weeks at 2-3 cm. I was 80 percent effaced and 3 cm for nearly three weeks. I lost only half my plug about three or four days before my son was born. I know every woman is different, but that might give you an idea of what to expect. Be sure to talk to your doctor when you go in for your appointment next week.

You still have roughly 4 weeks to go, why rush it, the baby will come. Actually you are doing better than other women. I did not start dilating until 42 weeks and I have heard from other women that they started late as well. Be thankful you have a head start. It is happening gradually. By the time it reaches 40 weeks(when the baby is supposed to come out), you will be right on target.

Unfortunately, you can be 2 cm or more dilated for several weeks before delivery. 70% effaced means that your cervix is thinned out 70%. Again, that can occur several weeks before delivery. 0 station means that your baby has a few more stations to hit before the head crowns. Hang in there, you could deliver within the week, or it may be weeks away.

36 weeks is still pretty early, you can remain this way for 4 , 5 maybe 6 more weeks....or...you might go into labor tonight. There is just no predicting this.
