Kevin isn't an especially Christian name, it is a given name and indicates that one may be of Anglo Saxon origin - I would say British but you have Kevins all over the English speaking world. I don't see why you can't keep the name, I have a diary called Ahmed, I like the name, had I been able to have children, I would have seriously considered it.
