What should we do to get a gig?

me and my brother have made a band i am 15 and he is 14 (we are like tenacious d) and we need to know the best places to look into to try and get a gig, or places with open mic nights. what should we do to get a gig? we dont care if it pays or not, we just want to perform. thanks

Start out buy asking friends and family if they need you to play for birthdays, anniversaries, and other party events. Spring's warming up too so you might be able to play at some neighborhood BBQs.

You guys are kinda young to play in clubs, but if you get some experience and a rep, it'll be easier to get in since peeps will know your name and can reference you as good performers.
