Unless you have been inside and messed with the drive jumpers or connections, your hard drive took a crap!

XP isn't the problem, but the hard drive may have failed.

PXE is the network adapter.
Usually it is set to boot from after the hard drive.
If you have recently reconfigured the BIOS, this could have been setup wrong.

But if you have just been using your computer normally and now it is not booting off the drive and giving this error, then most likely the drive has failed. Unfortunately, that also means that you probably won't be able to get your data off of it either... :(

It cannot find any boot device to boot from, that message is because it is trying to perform a network boot, but fails. Check to see if your hard drive it recognized in BIOS, if not, you might have a problem with it. Check to make sure the cables are plugged in, and maybe replace them.

maybe you should go to BIOS and select where the computer should read from first CD,FLOPPY,OR HARD DRIVE and of course you should choose hard drive or the problem could be that you have set another partition active where windows is installed so you would need like a floppy disk to run FDISK to choose the right partition
