Every since we updated our internet we've been having problems with our pages closing on us. If we close any popups or additional pages then our entire page closes with it, even with pages that immediately close. It is very annoying and I would appreciate any advice that would solve this.

Yes, it is what Oguz1 said the javascript error thing has been happening. Exactly what do I do to stop this from happening? Sorry for being so vague, I'm not sure of all of the correct terms and everything with this stuff.

Okay, let me try to explain better. If I am on a page like Yahoo Answers and there is a link I want to look at, so I click on the link and the new page opens. When I am done looking at the new page I click on X to close it and it closes both the new page and the Yahoo Answers page (even though I wanted to leave Yahoo Answers open). Then since nothing is open my internet asks if I want to disconnect. Or say a popup wasn't blocked and I go to close it, it closes everything that was open along with it. Does this make more sense?

What part of your internet did you update? Speed? Access Method? ISP?

When you say pages, do you mean tabs or windows?

Sorry: You need to be clearer on your question.

Closing one window or tab should NOT have an affect on others, nor should ANYTHING having to do with your internet access.

I assume you mean "Ever since you updated Internet Explorer", if this is the case, did you recently install any programs. Do the popup adverts come up even when you are not browsing the web? Do these adverts come up when browsing legitimate and trustworthy sites like www.bbc.co.uk? If so you computer might have been infected with some adware/malware. If so you need to remove them using malware remover program like Windows Defender. Be careful though, because some malware do pose themselves are malware removers. So install programs only from trusted sources.

sounds like a javascript error. check the pop-up page for code like this.

window.opener.close() or window.parent.close()

it should be just window.close()
