the other days my friends and i were hanging out in the Village as we always do in front of our favorite cafe. we were cutting up and laughing,talking etc. when this women about in her 30's came up to use and started yelling stuff at use and throwing bibles at use tell use we were going to hell and we better repent for our sins. we were in shock and almost called the cops,,she ran down the street. then we starting walking down the street and saw her again,and she started yelling at use again,what would you have done if this happened to you

I would just ignored her, and after she stopped yelling I would have bent down picked up a Bible and said I think you need this more than I do.

First I am a little confused as to why you followed her?? You can't stop people from having either their fanatical beliefs or mental illness, but you probably should have called the cops for either assault or just to make sure this person doesn't hurt themselves if they appeared mentally unstable.
The most important thing is to be comfortable with the way you live your life. It doesn't matter what others think because they aren't living with your choices you are, if this person had rationally approached you; you would have the choice to either ignore her or dispel her of her myths on people who choose to not be heterosexual. You have to be your own advocate.

WOW! What a story! Well, I probably would not stoop to her level and yell back. Your thoughts to call the police were probably the best - if not for yourselve, then for others who this woman might torment in the future. Plus, it sounds like she has some mental health issues that she requires professional help to address.

You should have just kissed your boyfriend right then and there. That would have put her over the deep end. You absolutely did the adult thing and just let it be. As bigoted as her actions were your "lack" of action shows maturity and class.
While I do not agree with your lifestyle behind closed doors it is none of my business as it is no one elses. I truly believe some of the least religious people in the world are very much like the woman you described. Best of luck.

Call the cops. You have to be real careful of the religious freaks, they think they are the only ones that are right because they read some book of made up stories that doesn't make any sense.

Shake it off, don't add fuel to their fire or give them more of a reason to hate what they don't understand.
One of the greatest and most influential actions is that of civil disobedience. Even though this doesn't apply to a certain law the same principals can be used to fight oppression.

I think I would simply state that she keep her personal beliefs to herself, that you were not forcing yours on her, so she shouldn't put hers on you? Afterall, in the bible it also teaches that let he who is without sin cast the first stone. I'm sure she's broken the fish/meat thing on Fridays, had unpure thoughts, and her behavior towards you alone is wrong since the people were taught to love one another, forgive thy neighbor, and not to judge and leave it in God's hands...

I have had this happen.
This tends to work well - "Begone, or someone will drop a house on you too!"
If you were IN the restaurant, immediately call the manager over to remove this pest.

Asked her to tell you her about her religion. Then tell her that you'd like to speak about the leader of your cult and the promises he made in regard to the future (like when the spaceship is landing or when you'll join everyone in the commune). Then tell her that she is wrong but she still has time to save herself if she joins today.
