personally, I don't think I'd VOTE for him, but I don't think I'll cry if he wins. (Like I did when Bush won)

I actually would have voted for him had he made it past the blood thirsty piranhas in the Rove SS during the 2000 primary, and I have never voted for a Republican EVER. I was none to happy with Al Gores choice of a running mate, and over the last seven years, it's obvious my gut was right.

McCain has gotten WAY too cozy with the Bush Cult, which is too bad. He and Chuck Nagel on the ticket together would keep the white house in Republican hands another four years, at least....I do appreciate the fact that the social conservatives HATE him.....

McCain is a useless sycophantic piece of sh** (though no less than Dubya is).

Back in 2000, during the republican primaries, the Bush campaign put together a coordinated smear attack against McCain alleging that he suffered permanent mental damage while being held as a POW that would hinder his ability to serve as president.

That they would do this to a US military veteran is bad enough, but he was one of their own too.

I don't see how he can continue to lick the boots that have kicked him. I guess he's desperate enough at this point to do anything.

He certainly doesn't need to be president if that is the way he allows himself to be treated by his own party.

I'm not sure. I used to like him, thought he was an honorable man, but when he withdrew from the '04 race and endorsed Bush, he took a step backwards. I'll wait and see what develops in this race before I make up my mind.

I'm a liberal, but I won't let that stop me from voting for the candidate I feel is best for the country.

A few years ago he seemed like a solid, middle-of-the-road guy. He was for fiscal responsibility, against the war, for gay rights, and for abortion. Now he stood all that on it's head, in order to find favor with the far right of his party.

Anyone on either side that changes their opinions this way cannot be trusted - you have no idea what you would really be getting if you vote for him. He now is in a list with people like Lieberman, Romney and others that blow in the wind - do not touch!

There are not many Liberals like McCain. I suppose Rudy Guliani (who is a social Liberal but a strong Republican on national issues) would be closest.

Guliani is pro-Gay Marriage and Pro-Choice, but strong on national security and has a record of great leadership.

You probably should have asked "which democrat is like McCain". Most democrats are not like him because most have taken a strong stance against the war.

Not this one He's a woos. I was shocked how he sucked up to Bush after Bush had swift boated him.

As a Vietnam Vet he had my attention at first. But now the Romance is over.

I would under no circumstance, vote for him. He's so much like Bush and it creeps me out. And if he won, I would cry ALOT. The only con I like, Giuliani.

I don't really understand him. He states strong opinion and then he always backs down. He creates legislation and then turns around and looks for loopholes to circumvent his own legislation. I don't trust a man who wants to be president THAT badly. Have some dignity, John.

He is a flip flopper worse then Bush and the Republicans wont ever allow him to win the primary. I'm not concerned.
